THE DOCTOR WHO PROJECT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Updated: July 31, 2020

TDWP TENTH DOCTOR RANGE

The Doctor Who Project [TDWP] is accepting story proposals for two new ‘seasons’ of stories – Seasons 43 and 44.

TDWP centers on the continuing adventures of an alternate Tenth Doctor and his current travelling companion Hannah Redfoot. Stories are published as part of an overall season that concentrates on delivering a collection of short stories that sees the Doctor facing new and original situations in time and space.

TDWP stories are based on the original 1963-89 television series including original creations developed by our writers. Our stories are published as free downloadable PDF documents featuring a novel-like format featuring specially created covers (designed by some of fandoms most talented artists).

Both Seasons 43 & 44 will feature six stories and a Christmas Special.

We are looking for imaginative, original, and entertaining stories that see the Doctor and his companion travel and experience the wonders of the universe.

To contribute** a story proposal to TDWP all you have to do is:

  1. Submit 3-6 paragraphs outlining the basic plot of your story and the characters featured,
  2. Provide your full name and email, and
  3. Include a brief bio telling us a bit about yourself.

**If this is your first time submitting a proposal to TDWP, please also include 2-3 samples of your writing.

You do not have to know a thing about TDWP, its history, or have read any or all of its past stories. It doesn’t matter. Ignore it all.

We’re looking for new adventures in space and time – besides, a good story is a good story and as long as you include our Tenth Doctor and companion Hannah in the story proposal, you’re good to go. It is that simple. (Oh and don’t worry, we will make detailed biographies available to you on both characters, as well as photographic reference material to give you an idea what the characters look like.)

Please submit your story proposals and other requested material as a Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF (.PDF) document attached to the body of an email.

Season 43 Proposal Submission Deadline: October 3, 2020

Season 44 Proposal Submission Deadline: November 14, 2020

All story submissions sent to: thedoctorwhoproject@shaw.ca

Full SUBMISSION GUIDELINES are available upon request at the above email address.

We look forward to hearing from you.
